Spencer Tracy, a graduate of Ripon College, sent this Happy Birthday telegram to Professor Boody on April 3rd, 1961. Boody had been his teacher over 40 years ago, when Tracy attended Ripon. The movie Tracy mentions is Judgement at Nuremberg, which came out in December of 1961 and earned him a Best Actor Oscar nod (he lost to his co-star Maximilian Schell).

A banker writes a telegram to be given, with the fee, to the Post Office telegraph messengers who are stationed on the streets to provide quicker communications for the duration of the war (1941)
From someone who’s not a history person, this book wasn’t that bad, but I can’t make myself write an essay on it. Gah.
On July 28th, 1969, David Bowie sent this telegram to a woman named Angela Barnett, three days after the Malta International Song Festival, where Bowie performed, and three days before the Italian Song Festival, where Bowie was headed. Less than eight months later, on March 19th, 1970, Angela Barnett became Angela Bowie. They had a son in 1971, separated after eight years of marriage and divorced on February 8th, 1980.

Back in 1936, renowned sculptor?Isamu Noguchi?was in Mexico working on a 72-ft-long public mural when he hit a snag: for some reason, he couldn’t precisely recall the?famous formula,?E=mc?. Rather than risk a mistake, he decided to seek advice and wired his good friend,?Buckminster Fuller ? a famed architect and great admirer of?Einstein ? for clarification.
Oh Jesus, e=mc2, alright already, stop shouting. fuck.
Clyde Barrow, one half of the infamous duo of Bonnie & Clyde (about who the iconic and groundbreaking 1967 film starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway was based on), wrote this telegram to Dallas D.A. Winter King, concerning Raymond Hamilton, a member of Clyde’s Barrow Gang. Hamilton and Barrow had many disagreements which eventually led to Hamilton leaving the gang. He was executed in 1935 for being a habitual criminal, which at that time was a capitol offense in Texas. This telegram was thought to be typed up by Clyde himself, due to the many spelling errors. While there is no timestamp, it had to be sent before May 23rd, 1934, which was the day Bonnie & Clyde were ambushed and killed by law enforcement. Clyde also left his fingerprint on the telegram, because Hamilton apparently did so too on an earlier letter.
The Eastham farm that Clyde mentions is a prison where Hamilton was imprisoned. Bonnie & Clyde raided it to free Hamilton and four other prisoners, however, one of the other escapees killed a guard.?
? ? ? ? ? ?So Raymond Hamilton nev er killed anybody. If he can make a jury believe that I8m willing to come in and be tryed my self. Why dont you ask Ray about those two pol iceman that got killed near Grapevine? And while you are at it bwetter talk it ov er with his girl friend. Bonnie and me were in missouriwhen that happened but where was Ray?coming back from the West bankjob wasn’t he? Redhot too wasn8t he? I got it straight. And ask him about that escape at Eastham farm wherethat gard was killed. Giess he claims he doesnt know fire any shots there don8t ge? Well if he wasnt too dum to know how tp put a clip in a automatic he’d hace fired a lot m ore shots and some of ?the vrest of the gards would got killed too. He wrote his lawyer he was too good for me and didnt go my pace, well it makes a me sick to see a ?yellow punk like that playing baby ad making a jury cry over him. If he was half as smart as me o the officers couldnt catch him either/ He stuck his fingerprint on a letter so heres mine too just to let you k now thjis is on the leve; ‘
